Meet Jesse
About me...
I have been a permanent resident of Wallingford since 2000- having grown up in both Meriden and Wallingford prior. I am a 49 year old (50 in September), married, father of 2 sons and my children ages 16 and 21 are and have been educated in Wallingford Public Schools.
I have a masters degree in Research Statistics and Measurement and have worked as a part of various Yale University research teams since 2002. My current role is overseeing the compliance of clinical research at Yale with respect to research transparency and mandatory reporting of study findings to the federal government via entities such as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the National Institutes of Health. I am a published co-author of more than 20 research articles published in peer-reviewed journals.
My volunteer experience in Wallingford includes formal positions on the boards of Wallingford Youth Soccer League (now Wallingford Soccer Club) and the Wallingford Public Library. I have also been involved with my both sons' Cub Scout Packs (Pack 28!) and Boy Scout Troops (Troop 1!). In addition, I have volunteered for many Democratic candidates over the last 16 years.
I believe that I can bring a measured and consistent voice to the Town Council that can help steer Wallingford into a more prosperous and rewarding future.
Statement accepting Democratic Town Committee endorsement on July 19, 2023
I want to thank the Wallingford Democratic Town Committee for endorsing me to run for Town Council on the Democratic ticket. While I had already begun my campaign in anticipation of being endorsed, the coming months will require a lot of work and commitment to get my message to the people of Wallingford.
I’ve volunteered for a few organizations in town, having served on the Wallingford Soccer Club Executive Board- as well as a serving as a coach and manager. I have been a part of the Wallingford Cub and Boy Scouting with Pack 28 and Troop 1 families for more than 10 years. I also served a term
on the Wallingford Public Library Board of Managers and most recently I served on the ARPA application review committee.
My educational background includes a Masters Degree in Research Statistics and Methods. My professional background includes working with or for Yale University since 2002. My current role is as a biostatistician and as director of an area that oversees compliance with federal
guidelines for human subject research.
I have worked for many campaigns- including my own and I have experience at doors from Cheshire to Middlefield. I will work hard to win this November and I think that we have a good group of candidates to take the majority.
Lastly, I work well with others and believe that I can be an important part of the decision making for the town in the coming years. I will bring a unique skillset to the Council and will serve the town to the best of my ability. I hope to have your support in July and all the way through
election day.
